Outcomes: ARC WELDING • Identify and set up AC and /or DC welding machines • Difference between arc welding consumables • Prepare materials for welding • Tack and arc welding workpieces incidental to trade using manual arc welding techniques Outcomes: GAS WELDING & BRAZING • Identify and set up oxygen-fuel gas welding equipment including light up, adjustment of gas pressure and shut down procedures. • Difference between brazing and gas welding consumables • Prepare materials for brazing and gas welding • Braze and gas welding workpieces incidental to the trade Outcomes: GAS CUTTING AND HEATING • Identify and assemble gas cutting and heating equipment, including light up and shut down procedures • Select nozzles and gas pressures for cutting and heating different materials of various thicknesses. • Hand cut and heat materials incidental to the trade • Braze and gas welding workpieces incidental to the trade
